Description: This award goes to the best freshman wrestler in the state.

 

Breakdown: This was another great freshman class. Out of all the freshman this year, though, one stood above the rest. Avon freshman Cheaney Schoeff was the lone freshman finalist. Schoeff looked great at the state tournament beating another good freshman in semifinals. This weight had three freshmen in the semis at 113, and they have beaten each other, Gilbert over Schoeff semi-state, Schoeff over Frazier in the state semis, and Frazier over Gilbert in the 3rd place match. This class should be fun to watch going forward.
