Description: This award goes to the female wrestler who had the best season.
Breakdown: We had two four-time state champions this year on the girls' side, and either one of them could have received this award. We chose togive the award to Higland's Aleksandra Bastaic. Bastaic started her high school career wrestling both boys and girls and had success on both sides. Bastaic was dominant all year on her way to a fourth state title and has an argument for being the pound-for-pound girl wrestler in the state of Indiana. I do want to mention our other four-time state champion, Cathedral's Kendall Moe, who could have taken this award as well. Congrats to Aleksandra Bastaic on winning this year's Hoosiermat Ms. Indiana Award.
