Description: This award goes to the wrestler who had the best year.
Breakdown: There were a handful of wrestlers that have an arguement on why they should take home the Hoosiermat Mr. Indiana award. Westfield's Connor Maddox and Avon's Nate Rioux, both finished the year as state champions and nationally ranked wrestlers. Both also made this years Ironman finals, with Maddox winning it. New Prarie's Matthew Staples killed everyone this year, but his schedule was as crazy as the other three guys who finished above him here. At the end of the day the buzz has been following one guy pretty much the whole year and he has earned every bit of it. Lawrence North's Michale White finished his enoior season as an unfeteaed state champion, who is also the top ranked wrestler in the country at his weight. White won everything this year, including the Ironman tournaemnt in Ohio. Outside of the finals, White did not have a close match with anyone here, and if you watched the finals, you know the score is not indicitive of how that match actually went. White has looked like, arguabley, the best wrestler in the state regardless of weight and is the best wrestler have watchd this year. Congratulations to Michael White on being this years Hoosiermat Mr. Indiana award winner.
