Indiana at Fargo | Girls Results

MAIN

Indiana's girls had an incredle showing out in North Dakota. Here is a quick recap of their Fargo tournament:


On the 16U side, Indiana finished 12th with 42 points. Indiana walked away with 4 All-Americans here. Hobart freshman Corbella Wesley brought home a stop-sign in her first trip finishing 7th at 130. Also finishing 7th was Franklin Community's Eleanor Robertson at 155. Whiteland's Mikayla Perkins made the semi-finals before evetually settling for 4th at 120. We did put one in the finals here, with Indian Creek's Ella Niebert finishing 2nd at 105. 


As for the Juniors, we finished tied for 3rd here with 117 points. Six gals made the podium in Juniors, with all of them placing in the top four. Center Grove's Aaliyah Brown and NortWood's Naima Ghaffar finished off great high school careers with stop signs. Brown took 4th at 95, while Ghaffar got 3rd at 135. Four girls made the finals for Indiana. Jay County's Katie Rowles took out 4th ranked Alliya Walker from Virginia to make the finals before settling for 2nd place. West Lafayette's Isabel Kaplan stormed into the finals with five falls, four being in the first period, before dropping a close decision in the finals. As far as champions go, Indiana came back with two of them. Attica'sAubrey Bartkowiak wreslted six matches in a total of six minutes. She picked up six first period falls on her way to a Fargo championship. Bartkowiak picked up wins over the 2nd, 11th and 18th ranked girls in the country. Our last wrestler to highlight here is Pendleton Heights's Maddie Marsh. Marsh went 7-0 with 3 techfalls and 2 falls on her way to a title. She pinned 9th ranked Isabella Miller of Illinois early in the tournament before capping it off with a 5-2 dec win onver 6th ranked Alexis Lazer from Michigan.
