Osho Named WHAC W.O.W.

INDIANAPOLIS - Marian senior Sam Osho took his third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Wrestler of the Week award of the season on Monday following his win at the Missouri Valley College Invite on Saturday. The seventh-ranked wrestler in the 184-pound weight class went 5-0 to become Marian's first wrestler to win the annual event.

Taking his second class win of the season, Osho began the tournament on Friday with wins by fall, medical forfeit, and major decision on his way into the semifinals. He defeated No. 11 Niko Perovic in the semifinals by an 8-3 decision, then bested No. 9 Michael Gibson in with a 3-1 decision in the championship. His five-win weekend moves him to 30-3 overall this season.

Marian wrestling will be in action on Friday night, with a couple of duals at Rochester University.
