NR Henry Antrobus-Noblesville
Weight Preview:
Westfield's Connox Maddox, a 4th placer at this weight a year ago, has separated himself from everyone else in the state this year. No one will push him this weekend as he rolls to a second semi-state title. In the finals, I have him wrestling Cathedral's Ethan Bayliss. Bayliss does have to get past Southmont's Lukas Scott in the ticket round first. Scott is good, but has not seen the rigor that Bayliss has this season. Milan's Mason Baylor is having a season very similar to his brother's freshman year, and has yet to lose a match in high school. He gets the nod to make it out of that section of the bracket and into the semis with Maddox. My last guy out is Hamilton Southeastern's Nolan Culp. That is assuming he gets past Roncalli's Carter Sanford in the ticket round. Both wrestlers have been tested this year, and neither have a bad loss, so this match should be a good one.
2025 Champion: Connor Maddox-Westfield

Weight Preview:
Cathedral's Tate St. Laurent was a top six wrestler in the state last year, but got a rough draw Friday night. This year, he is right where he left off and looks like someone who can make a run to the finals next weekend. I have trouble seeing Laurent getting challenged this weekend. He should see Roncalli's Caleb Morrow in the finals in a rematch from the dual in January. Laurent won that match by tech-fall. Zionsville's Andrew Elmore was down big last weekend but was able to force overtime and eventually pull off the upset. He is now set up to make his first trip downtown. My last guy out here is New Palestine's Blake Doss. Doss does have a decent amount of losses compared to whom he will probably see in the ticket round, but he has been tested this year and that will be the difference.
2025 Champion: Peyton Schoettle-Roncalli

Weight Preview:
Cathedral freshman, Jeremy Carver, has been on a tear this year comes in not only as a contender to win it this weekend but maybe someone who can steal a title next weekend as well. First, we will get to see a rematch here against a returning state champion, Roncalli's Peyton Schoettle. The two met in the dual about a month ago, and Carver won convincingly, 7-0. Even still, after watching that match, I need to see Carver do it again before I can say he is just better than Schoettle. No one is going to prevent this rematch from happening this weekend. Their semifinal opponents should be Fisher's Seth Lamb and Westfield's Aiden Driscoll, respectively.

Weight Preview:
We are going to learn a lot about this weight after the tournament. Roncalli's Blake Getz has emerged as a legit title contender this season and has the wins to back that claim. We already know this, though; what we do not know is exactly where Eastern Hancock's Bradyn Volz or Rossville's Dallas Rosenberger are in the pecking order. Volz is a two-time state placer, placing 6th at 113 in 2024 and 8th last year at 126. Both bring in undefeated records as well. My last guy here is Noblesville's Brody Weimer. Weimer came into this season with high expectations and has been living up to it.

Weight Preview:
I have the Perry Merdian regional pulling off the sweep at this weight this weekend. Franklin Central's Richard Rogers was able to pull off the "upset" last weekend to win the regional and is now the favorite to win the semi-state as well. He will see Elijah Broady, Mount Vernon (Fortville), in the finals for the second week in a row. Both have been to the state multiple times, and each has come home with hardware as well. Warren Central's Dylan Wills will look to make his first trip downtown, but he will have to get past the lone undefeated wrestler in the field, Milan's Matthew Baylor, in the ticket round to get there. Baylor has been to state in the past, placing 8th at 106 in 2023. Baylor does not see enough high-level competition during the year for me to pick him here. My last guy out is Roncalli's Jack Richardson. Richardson is a roller coaster wrestler and is somewhat up-and-down at times. If he shows up Saturday, he is the best wrestler in his section of the bracket.

Weight Preview:
New Castle's Tylin Thrine and Warren Central's Donald Bowie wrestled inthe finals last year at New Castle at 132. Now, up a weight, it looks like we will get a rematch from a year ago. Thrine is a 3-time state placer and champion, winning it at 126 in 2023. Bowie is also a state placer, finishing 6th last year at 132. Outside of them at the top of the bracket, Hamilton Southeastern's Parker Culp put himself in a great spot by winning the regional last weekend, and should have little issue punching his ticket this weekend. At the bottom of the bracket, we have the best ticket round match at the weight between returning state qualifier Cullen Crowley, Cathedral, and Franklin Central's Colt Goodman. Goodman is my pick here due to Crowley having to miss a majority of the season, and not knowing where he is at.
2025 Champion: Gunner Butt-New Palestine

NR Brody Steigerwald-Lawrenceburg
NR Carter Blackmon-Alexandria
Weight Preview:
Zionsville junior Cash Mays has climbed the ranks this season and looks like a top-four guy at this weight class. With no other heavy hitters here this weekend, he should cruise to a title. Coming in behind Mays, Southmont's Camden Laney put his name on the map with a tech-fall over a returning state qualifier earlier this year. Since then, he has looked like a state-level wrestler, and I have him in the finals this weekend. On the bottom side, Lawrence North's Steven Hunter should have little issue punching his ticket and setting up a semifinals match against Mays. The last guy I have out here is Batesville's Adam Brewer.

Weight Preview:
New Palestine's Gunner Butt has made the semi-state finals every year, and that continues this weekend. Butt comes with plenty of state experience, having placed 6th, 4th, and 5th, the past three years. He has not taken a loss to an in-state opponent this year. In the finals, he should see another returning state qualifier, Zionsville's Hank Phenicie. Of his 6 losses, Phenicie has lost 4 of those by 2 or less. I was not sure if we would see Cathedral's Caden Rodgers this season, but he has been rolling so far this postseason. I am picking Rodgers here reluctantly because he is another one whom I don't know where they are at after missing most of the year. My last guy out here is Roncalli's Andrew McHugh. McHugh got 4th at the regional a week ago but is in a decent spot to punch his ticket. He is another one who has a consistency issue, but if he shows up, I feel he's the best here.

Weight Preview:
The two best wrestlers at this weight will see each other in the semifinals, with one having to settle for 3rd. Bishop Chatard's Jack Davis is a returning state placer, placing 6th at 183 last season, looking for his first semi-state title. In the semifinals, he will see another guy with state experience, Rossville's Jacob Weaver, who qualified in 2023 and 2025 at 132 and 157, respectively. I have been high on Weaver for the last two years, and believe that when he is on, he can beat anyone in the state. Behind them, we have Cathedral's Tyler Lavin, the third guy at this weight class with previous state experience, qualifying at 150 last year. Lavin should roll into the finals against either Weaver or Davis. Franklin Central's Tyler Sandusky is my fourth guy out at this weight, but he does have a tough ticket round match against Riverton Parke's Joshua Ushman.

NR Brayden Nickle-South Vermillion
NR Tziyon Phillips-Centerville
NR James Grimme-Cathedral
Weight Preview:
Noblesville's Aidan Kincaide placed 4th in 2024 as a freshman, but was hurt last season. He is back this year and looks like someone on a mission. Kincaide has dominated everyone who has stepped on the mat with him this season, and he should continue to roll to a title this weekend. In the semifinals, he should see East Central's Nyden Euson. Opposite these two, there are two interesting ticket round matches. The first one is between Hamilton Southeastern's Cohen Davis and New Castle's Aiden Flowers. Flowers is having a great freshman season and looks to punch his ticket on his first trip here. Davis gets the nod due to common opponents, but styles make matchups, and Flowers could definitely take it. The second one is between Cathedral's James Grimme and Roncalli's Jackson McCurdy. The two met in the dual and Grimme won the match, but it played out weirdly. McCurdy dominated the first 4 minutes and 30 seconds of the match, and fell apart and gave up a bunch of points late. I do not see that happening a second time.

Weight Preview:
Rossville's Jacob Cole was a state qualifier last year at 165 and is the favorite to take home a semi-state title in his senior season. The finals here will likely be a rematch of last weekend's North Montgomery regional finals, between Cole and North Vermillion's Warren Pollard. Cole won a close 2-0 match a week ago. The lone state medal at this weight belongs to Roncalli's MJ Morton. Morton placed 7th at the state tournemnt last year, and, when he is in the right headspace, can go with almost anyone in the state.I do not see him having trouble punching his ticket again, but where he finishes from there depends on who shows up. My last guy out is New Palestine's Gabe Flick. Flick pulled of the "upset" at last weekend's regional to put himself in a great spot to wrestle next weekend. He will have East Central's Jaxin Prater in the ticket round, who is a retunring state qualifier as well.

Weight Preview:
Lawrence North's Michael White should kill everyone in the bracket this weekend. White is not only the best wrestler inthe weight class in the state, but he is the top-ranked guy in the country right now. He continues to make crazy jumps, and I expect it to be on display this weekend. I say that because the one guy who has given him trouble in the past is Cathedral's Kyle Harden. Harden pinned White at last year's semi-state, so I am curious to see where they are now. East Central's Brody Wingate was a state qualifier at 175 a year ago and comes in with one loss on the year. Winggate should have little trouble setting up a semifinal match with Harden. My fourth guy out here is Fisher's Camden Funk. Funk finished the regular seasonstrong and has ridden that momentum into the postseason.

Weight Preview:
In my opinion, healthy, Seer Godwise is the best guy in this field. I do not know where he is at healthwise, though. If he is focused on his wrestling instead of his knee, he will win this weight; if not, it is up for grabs. Fisher's Julian Burgett is a returning state qualifier at this weight and is good enough to win the weight this weekend. He will meet Godwise in the semifinals. A win there would likely see him against Zionsville's Brody Aeschliman, a match where he won 13-2 earlier this season. Aeschliman was a solid wrestler last year, but has turned into a guy you expect to see on the podium next weekend. He does have a tough path to make it out, as he will see New Castle's Trent Supingerin the first round and then New Palestine's Colin Whetsel in the ticket. Whetsel placed 6th at 190 in 2024 and beat Godwise last weekend to win the regional. My last guy out here is Alexandria's Camden Shelton. He does have two tougher guys to get there, having Franklin Central's Andrew Harmon first round and Carmel's Will Massey in the ticket round.

Weight Preview:
New Palestine's William Glesing is a heavy favorite to win his first semi-state title this weekend. The returning state placer, placing 8th last year, has not had a real competitive match this season. His spotless record should remain that way after Saturday. In the semifinals, he will likely see Zionsville's Dace McNeil, who is the second-best guy in the bracket, in my opinion. Warren Central's Jacari Markey missed the entire regular season but is back to pick up another state medal in his senior season. Last year's returning 6th placer, Markey won this weight last season by beating Glesing in the finals. My Last guy out here is Southport's VanBawi Lian. Lian does have to get past Hamilton Southeastern's A.W. Vankirk in the first round if he wants to punch his ticket. The two met at the Mooresville tournament, where Lian won in ultimate tiebreakers.
