Central Noble’s Alex Ocampo comes in with a perfect 15-0 record and can’t be counted out to take home the title here. Aiden Sprague, East Noble, and Brady Lewis, Huntington, will meet for the 3rd time in the ticket round, having split the first 2 matches.

This weight is wide open. Preston Teusch is given the slight nod here, but there are several wrestlers in the field that could prevent him from winning. Senior Isaac Weimer, West Noble, has 1 loss freshman Landon Bertch, Bluffton, in ticket round. I like Weimer’s experience in this matchup. Jett Boots, Angola, has beaten a lot of good guys in the last 12 months, and will look to put it together to earn a state berth this weekend. Justin Puckett, Northridge, and Western's Justin Brantley, will battle it out for a shot at Teusch in the ticket round.

This weight features two defending state champions. Yorktown’s Brayden Curtis has been tested this year but remains unbeaten. Jimtown’s Hunter Watts comes in with 1 blemish on his record, coming from top ranked Jesse Mendez. I do not see anyone stopping this matchup from happening on Saturday. Returning state qualifier has the unfortunate draw of having Watts in his ticket round match. Leo’s Ian Heath should make his second trip in two years to the state finals, but don’t count out the freshman from Adams Central, Alex Currie.

Returning state qualifiers Hunter Cottingham, Western, and Ricky Haught, Huntington North should meet in the ticket round.
